The Rotary File Cabinet Starter Unit, designed for letter-sized files, features a light gray finish and includes six shelves. This innovative double-sided, rotating shelf unit efficiently houses more than twice the files compared to traditional filing systems, facilitating quick and easy access to stored materials. The specifications reveal a robust construction, with the EZ2® base formed from 13 gauge steel, featuring 13 gauge steel-formed U-channel reinforcements measuring 4" wide x 3-1/2" deep, welded to create a rigid structure capable of supporting the cabinet's weight. Each corner includes welded steel 11 gauge gussets for added strength, complemented by four adjustable leveling feet for top-level adjustment. The base mechanism allows for 90° indexing of the rotary cabinet without the need for a foot pedal. Each unit consists of four upright posts made from 11 gauge steel, bolted to the base with two 1/4" - 20 flat head bolts per post, and equipped with dual durometer PVC closing strips. A lock assembly, conveniently located on the right front post, features a lock bar made from 3/8" diameter steel rod for enhanced durability, with a field-removable core for easy key changes. The rotary bottom, supported by five 5/8" diameter hardened steel ball bearings, pivots on a 3/4" diameter pin and is available in two configurations: a 19-1/4" diameter bearing cage with 22 ball bearings for letter size or a 24" diameter bearing cage with 44 ball bearings for legal size. All units can be locked in both open and closed positions.
