Each bit is manufactured from premium cobalt high-speed steel, which increases hot hardness and extends the drill wear life. The 135° P3 split point is self-centering, reducing thrust and facilitating easier penetration, although sizes smaller than .0625" do not feature a split point. The metric sizes adhere to DIN 338 overall length (OAL) and flute length specifications. Additionally, the TiN (titanium nitride) coating enhances lubricity and hardness, improving chip flow, finish hole quality, and overall drill life.
