The 135° P3 split point is self-centering, which reduces thrust and facilitates easier penetration, with sizes smaller than 0.0625" lacking a split point. The metric sizes adhere to DIN 338 overall length and flute length specifications. A straw finish enhances lubricity and allows for easy identification of cobalt drills, making them suitable for drilling in stainless steel, tool steel, alloy steel, and titanium.
