It features a 135° P3 split point that is self-centering, which helps reduce thrust and allows for easier penetration, with the exception that sizes smaller than .0625" do not have a split point. The kit includes drill bits with three flats on the shanks for sizes 3/16" and larger, ensuring tighter chucking. Additionally, the black and gold oxide surface finish increases wear resistance and adds lubricity, improving chip flow. These drill bits are suitable for drilling in stainless steel, tool steel, alloy steel, and cast iron.
