Each bit features a 135° P3 split point that provides self-centering capabilities, which reduces thrust and allows for easier penetration, although sizes smaller than .0625" do not include this split point. The kit includes drill bits with three flats on the shanks for sizes 3/16" and larger, ensuring tighter chucking. The black and gold oxide surface finish enhances wear resistance and adds lubricity, improving chip flow. It is suitable for drilling in various materials such as stainless steel, tool steel, alloy steel, and cast iron.
