The kit features heavy-duty construction for drilling in tougher materials and is manufactured from high-speed steel. It includes a 135° P3 split point that is self-centering, allowing for reduced thrust and easier penetration, while sizes smaller than .0625" do not have a split point. Additionally, sizes 3/16" and larger come with three flats on the shanks for tighter chucking. The black and gold oxide surface finish enhances wear resistance and adds lubricity, improving chip flow. This set is designed for drilling in stainless steel, tool steel, alloy steel, and cast iron.
