It features a 135° P3 split point that is self-centering, reducing thrust and allowing for easier penetration, although sizes smaller than .0625" do not include a split point. The bits are coated with TiAlN (Titanium Aluminum Nitride) to enhance performance at high temperatures and increase tool life due to added hardness.
