It features a 135° P3 split point that is self-centering, which reduces thrust and allows for easier penetration; however, sizes smaller than .0625" do not have a split point. The black oxide surface finish enhances wear resistance and adds lubricity, which improves chip flow. This kit is suitable for drilling in stainless steel, tool steel, alloy steel, and cast iron.
