The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ radial bristle brush measures 6" x 1/2" x 1" and features a ceramic 36 grit abrasive. It utilizes a proprietary ceramic abrasive grain blended with aluminum oxide and incorporated into molded, flexible nylon bristles, providing more surface contact than traditional wire brushes while maintaining abrasive properties throughout the brush's life. This brush is designed to remove paint, stains, adhesives, weld burns, rust, heavy oxides, and surface contaminants from various metals including aluminum, brass, bronze, carbon steel, cast iron, and stainless steel. Under normal use, the flexible bristles stay securely in place and achieve desired finishes with light pressure. The Scotch-Brite™ bristle disc is engineered for longer life than wire and other abrasive discs and is suitable for general industrial, aerospace, automotive, metalworking, transportation, electronics, jewelry, and woodworking applications. The ceramic abrasive grain, manufactured through a proprietary process to enhance toughness and hardness, combined with aluminum oxide, creates one of the hardest and longest-lasting abrasive minerals available, offering fast cutting action and resistance to intense heat and stress for moderate to heavy stock removal.
