The Scotch-Brite™ EXL deburring wheel is designed to deliver a clean surface without smearing, thus reducing the need for additional clean-up and preparation. Featuring convolute construction, it ensures clean, uniform wear, allowing the wheel to run smoothly while minimizing operator fatigue. The wheel operates cool and has uniform wear, consistently exposing fresh abrasives, which makes it an excellent choice for heat-sensitive substrates. Offering an extended service life, it is available with either silicon carbide or aluminum oxide abrasive minerals. Silicon carbide provides a very sharp edge suitable for low-pressure applications like paint prep and finishing, while aluminum oxide is a hard, blocky mineral known for high cut rates and durability; although it breaks down faster than silicon carbide, it yields a finer finish. The Scotch-Brite™ EXL deburring wheel features abrasives incorporated into non-woven nylon fibers, creating a load-resistant open-web material that maintains high performance by reducing clogging.
