The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ EXL unitized wheel measures 1" x 1/8" x 1/8" and contains aluminum oxide abrasive minerals in a non-woven nylon fiber construction designed for cleaning edges without smearing, reducing the need for additional preparation. Intended for use on die grinders, this unitized wheel minimizes heat buildup, making it suitable for heat-sensitive materials. The abrasive system incorporates open-web, load-resistant nylon fibers combined with aluminum oxide, available in fine, medium, coarse, and extra coarse grades, and silicon carbide in very fine and fine grades, to deliver consistent cutting performance and prevent clogging. The wheel is ideal for applications such as blending and deburring in industries including builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
