The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ EXL Deburring Wheel measures 6" x 1/2" x 1" and features silicon carbide 8S medium abrasive. Its convolute construction and clean, uniform wear allow the wheel to run smoothly, providing a professional finish while minimizing operator fatigue. The Scotch-Brite material runs cool and maintains uniform wear by continuously exposing fresh abrasives, making it ideal for heat-sensitive substrates and extending the wheel's service life. Available with either silicon carbide or aluminum oxide abrasive mineral, silicon carbide is a sharp synthetic mineral suited for low-pressure applications such as paint preparation and finishing, producing a finer finish though it breaks down faster than aluminum oxide, which offers a high cut-rate and longer life. The Scotch-Brite abrasive system incorporates abrasives into non-woven nylon fibers, creating an open-web, load-resistant material that maintains high cutting performance by preventing clogging of fibers.
