The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ EXL Unitized Wheel measures 3" x 1/4" x 1/4" and features aluminum oxide 6A medium grade abrasive minerals incorporated into non-woven nylon fibers. This unitized wheel provides a clean edge without smearing, reducing the need for additional cleanup and preparation, and is designed for optimal performance on a die grinder with minimal heat buildup, making it suitable for heat-sensitive materials. The wheel is available in aluminum oxide abrasives in fine, medium, coarse, and extra coarse grades, as well as silicon carbide in very fine and fine grades. The open-web design is load resistant and helps maintain abrasive cutting efficiency by limiting clogging of nylon fibers. Typical applications include blending and deburring, and industries served include builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
