The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ EXL Unitized Wheel measures 3" x 1/4" x 1/4" and features aluminum oxide 8A CRS abrasive minerals designed for use on a die grinder. It provides a clean edge without smearing, reducing additional cleanup and preparation, and minimizes heat buildup during operation, making it suitable for heat-sensitive materials. The wheel is filled with abrasive minerals to efficiently smooth edges of metal, plastic, and composites and is available in aluminum oxide grades including fine, medium, coarse, and extra coarse, as well as silicon carbide in very fine and fine grades. Scotch-Brite™ products combine abrasives with non-woven nylon fibers, forming an abrasive system that delivers consistent results by limiting clogging through an open-web material that is load resistant. Typical applications include blending and deburring, with industries served including builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
