The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Combi-S Wheel 80801 measures 3" x 1-3/4" x 1/4" with an 80 grit aluminum oxide abrasive mounted on a 1/4" shank spindle that provides stability and reduces side-loading to maintain perpendicular contact with the work surface. The wheel is designed for surface finishing and blending on materials including aluminum, stainless steel, copper, and brass. It uses aluminum oxide, a tough, durable abrasive known for its high cut-rate, long life, hardness, strength, and low heat retention, which self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges during use. The Scotch-Brite™ Combi-S wheel features an open-web, non-woven nylon or synthetic fiber matrix embedded with abrasives, ensuring consistent performance, cool operation, and resistance to loading. Suitable for both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys, it is effective in grinding, sanding, and finishing applications.
