The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Strip Disc measures 3 inches in diameter by 1/4 inch thick and features an extra-coarse (XCS) silicon carbide mineral embedded in an open nylon web. Designed for high-production environments, this disc offers strong load resistance and consistent cutting action while effectively managing debris, making it ideal for coating removal, paint stripping, rust removal, and sealant removal. The silicon carbide mineral cuts sharply and leaves a bright finish, breaking down faster than aluminum oxide but producing a finer finish. The open nylon web allows debris to escape, reducing clogging and extending the disc's service life by continuously exposing fresh mineral for ongoing sharpness. The disc utilizes a standard attachment system compatible with backstands, right angle grinders, or die grinders.
