The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ Disc RD-ZB is a 3" x 5/8" ceramic abrasive disc with 120 grit, designed for superior cutting action combined with the 3M™ Roloc™ quick change attachment system to efficiently clean, strip, deburr, blend, finish, polish, scratch, and remove rust and coatings without damaging the base material. Under normal use, the bristles remain safely in place and achieve the desired finish using light pressure. These bristle discs work well on steel, aluminum, and various other metals, making them suitable for general maintenance, automotive, and engine rebuilding applications. The 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain is manufactured through a proprietary process to enhance toughness and hardness, blended with aluminum oxide for increased performance, making it one of the hardest and longest-lasting mineral abrasives. Ceramic abrasives are engineered for moderate to heavy stock removal, cutting fast and withstanding intense heat and stress, surpassing aluminum oxide abrasives in cut-rate and durability, ideal for industrial grinding and finishing. Scotch-Brite™ abrasives incorporate abrasive minerals into a non-woven fiber matrix, creating a consistent abrasive system that remains cool, load resistant, and limits clogging to maintain high performance. Applications include adhesive removal, blending, corner blending, cleaning, coating removal, deburring, finishing, paint stripping, polishing, prepping metal prior to painting, rust removal, sealant removal, and weld cleaning. Industries served include aerospace, general industrial, marine, and metalworking. The disc dimensions are 3 inches in diameter by 5/8 inch in arbor size, and the grit size is 120.
