The Patterson Power Tube is a fabric air duct system designed for efficient airflow distribution over large areas, utilizing a custom vented tube powered by Patterson's high velocity fans. Each fan can deliver airflow across multiple workstations or along an assembly line, facilitating air movement at floor level. Available in five standard models, each designed to connect with a specific high velocity fan and featuring optimal airflow configurations, these tubes include calculated tube lengths, hole sizes, and hole spacing to ensure smooth and consistent air movement throughout. Custom configurations are also available, allowing for endless possibilities tailored to specific air movement requirements. The heating power tubes maintain economical operation during winter months by mixing warm air trapped near the ceiling with cooler air below, resulting in a balanced temperature that alleviates HVAC system strain. The system can be employed for destratification in two ways: either by using a vertically-mounted fan with an open-ended tube in limited ceiling spaces for targeted heating, or by placing a horizontally-mounted power tube near the ceiling to provide warmth to workers at floor level without creating a breeze. The system optimizes energy efficiency through better air distribution, enabling the movement of up to 12,000 CFM of trapped heat while accommodating various facility layouts and work area sizes.
