The Patterson Power Tube is an innovative fabric air duct system designed to efficiently control airflow distribution over large areas, utilizing a custom vented tube powered by one of Patterson's high-velocity fans. Each fan can effectively send airflow across multiple workstations or down an assembly line to several workers at floor level. Available in five standard models, each of which connects with an appropriately sized high-velocity fan, the Power Tubes feature carefully calculated tube lengths, hole sizes, and hole spacing to ensure smooth and consistent air movement along the entire length of the tube. Moreover, Patterson offers an extensive range of custom configurations tailored to meet unique air movement requirements as determined through collaboration with sales engineers. The Heating Power Tubes provide cost-effective heating solutions, maintaining air destratification during winter by effectively mixing warm air trapped near the ceiling with cooler air below, resulting in balanced temperatures and reduced strain on HVAC systems. The system can be implemented using a vertically-mounted fan with an open-ended tube for limited ceiling space or a horizontally-mounted Power Tube near the ceiling to keep workers at floor level comfortable. This solution can move up to 12,000 CFM of trapped heat while improving energy efficiency through better air distribution, accommodating customized tube configurations to navigate around obstacles.
