The Patterson Power Tube is a fabric air duct system designed to efficiently control airflow distribution over large areas by directing air through a custom vented tube powered by one of Patterson's high-velocity fans. One fan can send airflow across multiple workstations or down an assembly line to several workers at floor level. Cooling Power Tubes are available in five standard models, each compatible with appropriately sized high-velocity fans, alongside custom configurations tailored to specific needs. The models are engineered for optimal airflow, with tube length, hole size, and hole spacing calculated to ensure smooth, consistent air movement along the entire length of the tube. Additionally, Heating Power Tubes provide economical solutions during winter months by destratifying air, effectively mixing warm air trapped near the ceiling with cooler air below to maintain balanced temperature levels and reduce HVAC strain. Two options are available for using a Power Tube for destratification: a vertically-mounted fan with an open-ended tube for limited ceiling space or a standard horizontally-mounted Power Tube positioned near the ceiling to deliver warmth to the floor level without direct airflow. The system can improve energy efficiency through better air distribution, effectively move warmer air across a facility, and enable custom configurations that navigate around obstacles while moving up to 12,000 CFM of trapped heat.
