Worldwide Electric's open drip proof (ODP) motors are engineered for HVAC and refrigeration equipment, air compressors, and general-purpose installations where cooler-running, non-enclosed motors are optimal. These premium efficiency ODP motors are available in horsepower ratings from 1/2 to 125 HP and operate at speeds of 3600, 1800, and 1200 RPM. They support 208-230/460 Volt at 60 Hz and 190/380 Volt at 50 Hz. The motors feature an open drip proof enclosure with a rolled steel frame for 1/2-50 HP and a cast iron frame for 60-100 HP. With an IP23 degree of protection and 1.15 Service Factor (1.0 SF for 50 Hz applications), they utilize Class F insulation and provide a rigid base with a 56C-face that includes a removable base. They are classified for premium efficiency with a Class B temperature rise and are suitable for inverter duty with a 10:1 Constant Torque / 20:1 Variable Torque rating at 1.0 SF. The inverter grade magnet wire used in these motors meets or exceeds NEMA MG-1 Part 31 standards. For installation convenience, they include pre-drilled and tapped drive endbells on 143T frame and above to accept Inpro current diverter rings without additional machining. Additionally, the motors are equipped with an exclusive double vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) insulation system and double drilled feet for mounting flexibility on frames 143T to 404T. Models 254T and larger are suitable for F1 to F2 conversion.
