Worldwide Electric's open drip proof (ODP) motors are specifically designed and engineered for HVAC and refrigeration equipment, air compressors, and general-purpose applications where cooler-running, non-enclosed motors are preferred. These premium efficiency ODP motors come in horsepower ratings ranging from 1/2 to 125 and feature specifications including 3600, 1800, and 1200 RPM, with voltage options of 208-230/460 Volt at 60 Hz and 190/380 Volt at 50 Hz. The motors are constructed with an open drip proof (ODP) enclosure, a rolled steel frame for models from 1/2 to 50 HP, and a cast iron frame for 60 to 100 HP units. They provide IP23 protection, a 1.15 service factor (1.0 service factor for 50 Hz applications), Class F insulation, and a rigid base for 56C-face with a removable base. These motors are designed for premium efficiency, exhibiting Class B temperature rise and inverter duty characteristics with a 10:1 continuous torque and 20:1 voltage tolerance at 1.0 SF. Additionally, they utilize inverter grade magnet wire that meets or exceeds NEMA MG-1 part 31 standards, feature pre-drilled and tapped drive endbells on 143T frames and up for easy installation of Inpro current diverter rings, and incorporate an exclusive double vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) insulation system. With double drilled feet for mounting flexibility on 143T-404T models, the motors sized 254T and larger are suitable for F1 to F2 conversion.
