Worldwide Electric's open drip proof (ODP) motors are engineered for use in HVAC and refrigeration equipment, air compressors, and general-purpose installations where cooler-running, non-enclosed motors are advantageous. These premium efficiency ODP motors are available in horsepower ratings ranging from 1/2 to 125 HP and feature speeds of 3600, 1800, and 1200 RPM, with voltage options of 208-230/460 Volt at 60 Hz and 190/380 Volt at 50 Hz. The motors have an open drip proof enclosure, with a rolled steel frame for 1/2-50 HP and a cast iron frame for 60-100 HP, offering IP23 protection and a service factor of 1.15 (1.0 SF for 50 Hz applications). They use Class F insulation, have a rigid base (56C-face with removable base), and exhibit premium efficiency with Class B temperature rise. Designed for inverter duty, these motors provide a 10:1 continuous torque (CT) and 20:1 variable torque (VT) with a 1.0 SF rating. The inverter-grade magnet wire meets or exceeds NEMA MG-1 Part 31 standards. They feature pre-drilled and tapped drive endbells on 143T frame and up for easy installation of Inpro current diverter rings without machining, an exclusive double vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) insulation system, and double drilled feet for mounting flexibility (143T-404T), with 254T and larger models suitable for F1 to F2 conversion.
