Globe Scientific's GCM-R-24 refrigerated microcentrifuge is designed for handling critical temperature-sensitive samples, building on the robust foundation of the GCM-24. This model is suitable for various applications including molecular biology and chemistry and features an intuitive button and knob interface for quick programming. It includes a high strength 24-place aluminum alloy rotor with a biosafety aerosol containment lid, all of which can be fully autoclaved. The centrifuge is equipped with a powerful yet quiet compressor, enabling rapid and precise temperature control that cools the rotor chamber and samples down to 4°C within just seven (7) minutes of operation, even at maximum speed and capacity. Key features include pre-cooling for optimal sample protection, an audible alert function, a dual lid lock function to maintain sample temperature post-centrifugation, an intermittent temperature control mode, CFC-free refrigerant, and low carbon life rotor capacity. The GCM-R-24 ensures quiet operation with a noise level below 54dB and utilizes a maintenance-free brushless DC motor. Advanced features encompass a speed/RCF switch, quick spin function, and safety features such as a dual door safety interlock, over-temperature detection, excessive speed detection, and automatic internal diagnostics. The package includes the standard fully autoclavable aluminum rotor with aerosol lid, and there are optional rotors available for enhanced functionality.
