Benchmark Scientific hotplates, stirrers, and hotplate stirrers are designed for reliable performance and safe operation in laboratory settings. The kits include space-efficient 7x7 inch and 10x10 inch hotplate/stirrer units that feature a durable, chemical-resistant white ceramic top plate and advanced microprocessor controls. They incorporate a constant monitoring system for precise temperature control, with rapid heating capabilities and faster boiling times. The powerful motor drive system facilitates efficient mixing for larger and more viscous samples. Operating temperature ranges from ambient +5° to 400°C, while mixing speeds can vary from 150 to 1500 RPM, all of which are displayed on a large digital screen. A safety LED indicates when the top plate temperature exceeds 50°C. Users have the option to utilize an external temperature probe, which offers constant monitoring and adjustments to maintain sample temperature within +/- 1°C. The hotplates are compatible with borosilicate glass beakers and other vessels, supporting a maximum stirring volume of 5 liters for the 7-inch models and 15 liters for the 10-inch models. Additionally, an optional clamp assembly is available for mounting thermometers or temperature probes.
