The Detecto® BRW1000 is a bariatric wheelchair scale designed to accommodate extra-wide wheelchairs with a spacious platform measuring 32 in x 40 in x 2.2 in (81 cm x 101 cm x 5.6 cm) and a high capacity of 1,000 lb (450 kg). It features two-way easy access ramps and a low-profile 2 in (56 mm) high platform that rests on the floor for easier patient access. The scale ensures clinical accuracy to 0.2 lb (0.1 kg) and includes a black rubber mat for enhanced traction. The setup is user-friendly with a flexible coiled cable remote display that extends up to 14 ft (4.2 m), allowing for easy visibility of results. The scale is equipped with the MedVue multifunctional indicator, featuring an alphanumeric keypad and RS232 and USB ports, with options for Wi-Fi/Bluetooth and Welch Allyn connectivity. It displays height, weight, and body mass index (BMI) onscreen simultaneously. The BRW1000 is EMR/EHR ready and includes integral wheels for ease of transport, along with a versatile indicator bracket for tabletop or wall-mount purposes. An OIML EC Class III compliant model is also available. The kit requires 6 C batteries (not included).
