The low-profile scale base features a 7.25 ft. / 2.2 m cable to a remote display and boasts large, easy-to-read 1 in / 25 mm high LCD digits. It incorporates Body Mass Index (BMI) calculation to assist in determining health status, with the display adaptable for wall mounting or countertop use (bracket included). The platform dimensions are 14.2 in W x 15.8 in D x 2.4 in H / 36.0 cm W x 40.2 cm D x 6.1 cm H, supporting a capacity of 550 lb. x 0.2 lb. / 250 kg x 0.1 kg. Its portable and lightweight design facilitates convenient location changes based on patient needs, and it features a mother/baby mode that factors in the weight of infants and toddlers held by an adult. The scale supports manual height entry from 2 ft. 0.0 in - 7 ft. 10.5 in by 0.5 in (60.0 cm - 240.0 cm by 1 cm) and includes an audible beep confirmation. There is a selectable auto shut-off feature to conserve battery life (up to 9 minutes) and an auto weight lock feature that ensures stable weight readings. The kit includes 6 AA batteries, and the Detecto® Solo-Ri-AC model also comes with an AC adapter. Additional features include carpet feet for improved accuracy on carpeting, 8 simple buttons designed for easy identification across languages, and a USB port for outputting measurement data to EMR/EHR software. The hold/release key allows for the retention of a patient’s weight onscreen until it can be recorded. The scale comes fully equipped out of the box with batteries, a manual, wall mount and desktop bracket, mounting screws, and carpet feet. It locks in weigh units to avoid dosage errors based on incorrect units, with an optional carrying case (model ProDoc-Case) available. The 7.25 ft. / 2.2 m cable facilitates display placement wherever it is most convenient, while the 14 x 15 inch platform with a ribbed rubber mat is only 2.4 inches high, making it easy for patients to step on and off.
