The controlled room temperature cabinet is purpose-built to support manufacturer recommendations for the storage of pharmacy, medication, and vaccines within the range of 20° - 25°C (68° - 77°F) as defined by USP. It features a temperature variation of +/-1.5°C, derived from the maximum deviation of an NTC sensor in a 1 oz. vial located nearest the chamber geometric center during a 24-hour test period, ensuring stable operation even when ambient room temperatures vary between 68°F and 86°F. Notable features include an antimicrobial silver ion-coated handle, adjustable temperature controls allowing settings between +2 to +8°C, temperature alarm, remote alarm contacts, automatic defrost with an adjustable cycle, and an access port with a pre-installed 1/2" probe hole for easier connection to monitoring equipment. It also has an open door alarm that activates after 4 minutes (adjustable from 1-99 minutes), an audible power failure alarm, a sensor failure alarm with audible and visual warnings, and password protection for the control panel. The microprocessor control panel includes digital controls with a large LED readout in Celsius or Fahrenheit for intuitive temperature management, as well as a resettable min/max display. Security is enhanced with a factory-installed keyed lock conveniently located near the top of the door (two keys included) and adjustable plastic-coated wire shelves that improve circulation, with multiple shelf positions spaced at 1/2" to accommodate various sizes. The cabinet is equipped with a hospital-grade cord featuring a 'green dot' plug and a secure three-pronged cord for added unit safety.
