The pedestal-mounted eye/face wash unit is designed at ANSI-compliant height and is generally located in open areas away from walls. These freeze-protected models are trace-tape heated and insulated, making them suitable for use in both Class 1 Division 2 hazardous areas and non-hazardous areas. Constructed from durable, corrosion-resistant acrylic capped ABS, this unit features an integral lid connected to the water valve for automatic operation, which activates by simply pulling down the lid. An easy-to-reach flow regulator valve positioned on the side of the bowl allows adjustment to suit the severity of the accident, while the unit includes an inspection record tag for documenting test and service history. It is specifically designed for cold climates with a minimum ambient operating temperature of -4°F (-20°C) or above. The covered acrylic-capped ABS eye/face wash ensures protection of the bowl and eyewash diffusers from dust and debris, and the diffusers provide a gentle flow of aerated water to prevent further injury to the eyes. Additionally, it includes a separate universal eyewash sign for enhanced visibility and meets ANSI and EN 15154 standards, supporting OSHA requirements. The material specifications include polyurethane foam insulation with a medium-density polyethylene impact-resistant outer casing, and the eye/face wash diffusers are made of chrome-plated brass with stainless steel mesh.
