These valves blend hot and cold supply water to deliver tepid water (85°F / 29°C) to emergency equipment, with a flow range of 2 to 9-13/16 GPM at 30 PSI (7-1/2 to 37-1/8 LPM at 2 BAR G), making it suitable for a single eyewash station. The valve is compatible with existing emergency eyewash setups and effectively controls the temperature for both recirculating and non-recirculating supply systems. It meets ANSI Z358.1-2014 standards and accurately regulates outlet temperature according to ASSE 1071 standards. Additionally, the valve is ASSE 1071 approved and lead-free certified. Key features include a positive hot water shut-off that eliminates the risk of scalding water if the cold-water supply fails, an integral cold-water bypass that ensures reliable cold-water delivery if the hot water supply is interrupted, and it is factory set to 85°F (29-3/8°C) for comfort during eyewash use, though it can be safely adjusted up to 95°F (35°C) for body washes. It also incorporates integral cartridge-style checks with screens to prevent backflow and filter out debris entering the valve, and is certified to ASSE 1071 and CSA standards.
