For cold climates with a minimum ambient operating temperature of -4°F (-20°C) or above, Trace Tape heating with polyethylene jacket and polyurethane foam insulation improves frost protection and strength. It is suitable for both Class 1 Division 2 hazardous areas, as well as non-hazardous areas. The kit includes a universal safety shower sign for enhanced visibility and an inspection record tag for recording service and test history. It meets ANSI Z358.1 2014 and EN 15154 standards and supports OSHA requirements. This freeze-protected and insulated drench shower is intended for use where there is a possibility of the water inside of the shower freezing due to extreme cold climates. The floor-mounted emergency drench shower features a specially designed, high-performance quarter-turn ball valve made of 316L stainless steel to endure harsh environments and site conditions. The polyurethane foam insulation is accompanied by a medium-density polyethylene impact-resistant outer casing, and the nozzle is made of nylon 6. The low operating torque to open the valve offers reliable, easy on/off operation during emergencies, and the valve also includes an integral, heavy-duty stainless steel stop-plate to handle rough operation without failure. The durable, coated stainless steel shower pull handle with nylon valve connection is easy to grip and activate for immediate water drenching. The shower features a removable, self-draining overhead nozzle designed for high flow rates that meet or exceed ANSI standards. Made of durable nylon material, the nozzle provides optimal spray distribution for user protection, and solid construction utilizes galvanized mild steel pipework. Some assembly may be required. The electrical supply is 240V single phase, 60/50Hz, and the shower head dimensions are 2" W x 2" D x 3" H.
