The freeze-protected and insulated emergency drench shower is specifically designed for cold climates, operating effectively in ambient temperatures of -4°F (-20°C) or above. It features Trace Tape heating with a polyethylene jacket and polyurethane foam insulation to enhance frost protection and overall strength, making it suitable for both Class 1 Division 2 hazardous areas and non-hazardous environments. The kit includes a universal safety shower sign for visibility and an inspection record tag for service documentation. It meets ANSI Z358.1 2014 and EN 15154 standards, supporting OSHA requirements. This floor-mounted unit is equipped with a high-performance quarter-turn ball valve made of 316L stainless steel, designed for durability in harsh conditions. The valve operates with low torque for easy activation during emergencies and includes a heavy-duty stainless steel stop-plate. The shower pull handle is made of coated stainless steel with a nylon valve connection for reliable grip, while the overhead nozzle, crafted from durable nylon, is removable and self-draining, designed for high flow rates to meet ANSI standards. Solid construction is achieved with galvanized mild steel pipework, and some assembly may be required.
