The emergency drench shower is specifically designed for cold climates with a minimum ambient operating temperature of -4°F (-20°C) or above, utilizing Trace Tape heating with a polyethylene jacket and polyurethane foam insulation to enhance frost protection and durability. This unit is suitable for both Class 1 Division 2 hazardous areas and non-hazardous areas, and it includes a universal safety shower sign for improved visibility, as well as an inspection record tag for documenting service and test history. Compliant with ANSI Z358.1 2014 and EN 15154 standards, it also aligns with OSHA requirements. The shower is floor mounted and features a high-performance quarter-turn ball valve constructed from 316L stainless steel, ensuring resilience in harsh environments. The polyurethane foam insulation is complemented by a medium density polyethylene impact-resistant outer casing. The nozzle, made of nylon 6, provides low operating torque for reliable, easy activation during emergencies. Additionally, the valve is equipped with an integral heavy-duty stainless steel stop-plate to endure rough handling, while the durable coated stainless steel shower pull handle, coupled with a nylon valve connection, ensures a secure grip for prompt activation. The removable, self-draining overhead nozzle is engineered for high flow rates that meet or exceed ANSI standards and is crafted from durable nylon material for optimal spray distribution. The shower is constructed with galvanized mild steel pipework, with some assembly required. The electrical supply operates at 120V single phase, 60/50Hz, and the shower head dimensions are 2"W x 2"D x 3"H.
