This freeze protected and insulated shower is designed for use in environments where the water inside the shower may freeze due to extreme cold climates. The floor-mounted emergency combination shower features a high-performance quarter-turn ball valve made of 316L stainless steel, ensuring durability in harsh conditions. The valve operates with low torque for reliable, easy on/off activation during emergencies and includes a heavy-duty stainless steel stop plate to withstand rough usage. The durable, coated stainless steel shower pull handle is easy to grip and activate. The shower is equipped with a removable, self-draining overhead nozzle constructed from durable nylon material, designed for high flow rates that meet or exceed ANSI standards, providing optimal spray distribution for user protection. The covered eye/face wash, made of tough, corrosion-resistant acrylic-capped ABS, features an integral lid connected to the water valve for automatic operation, activated by pulling down the lid. An easy-to-reach flow regulator valve is located on the side of the bowl for adjusting the water flow as needed. The system employs stainless steel pipework for improved corrosion resistance, and some assembly may be required. It is specifically designed for cold climates with a minimum ambient operating temperature of -4°F (-20°C) or above, with trace tape heating and polyethylene jacket and polyurethane foam insulation to enhance frost protection and structural strength. The covered eye/face wash protects the bowl and eyewash diffusers from dust and debris, eliminating the need for dust covers. This shower kit is suitable for both Class 1 Division 2 hazardous areas and non-hazardous areas, and it includes a universal safety shower sign for enhanced visibility, as well as an inspection record tag for documentation purposes.
