The self-draining shower system is designed for use in hot climates to mitigate the risk of shock and scalding from standing water, with the self-draining valve positioned directly above the water inlet and a bleed pipe installed above it to facilitate drainage of hot water into the ground. The standpipe fills with water only when the shower is activated and drains once the valve is closed, preventing stagnant water from overheating and reducing the potential for operator injury. This system features high-performance quarter-turn ball valves made of 316L stainless steel, ensuring durability in challenging environments with low operating torque for reliable on/off functionality during emergencies. The valve is equipped with a heavy-duty stainless steel stop-plate for resilience against rough handling. The shower pull handle is crafted from coated stainless steel and features a nylon valve connection for easy grip and immediate activation. The removable, self-draining overhead nozzle is made of durable nylon, designed for high flow rates that meet or exceed ANSI standards, providing optimal spray distribution while minimizing the risk of insect nesting and replacement costs associated with plastic heads. The system also includes an open stainless steel bowl eye/face wash with high, ANSI-compliant flow rates, aerated diffusers with fine mesh strainers, and an individual flow controller for a soft scrubbing action. The eye wash features twin spray nozzles with dust covers that activate when the push plate is pressed, and a flow regulator valve is easily reachable to adjust depending on the severity of the incident. Constructed from solid stainless steel pipework for enhanced corrosion resistance, an optional foot treadle can be added for secondary eyewash activation. Some assembly may be required.
