The Air-Care™ MERV 8 permanent and washable flexible air filter is designed for easy fitting in systems requiring non-standard air filter sizes. This electrostatic filter is 10 times more efficient than standard disposable filters, providing cleaner and fresher air in your home by electrostatically trapping dust and allergens. The filter is designed to be washed every 1-3 months, allowing for easy maintenance and a long-lasting, sturdy frame. Electrostatic air filters operate by generating a static charge through air flowing via a maze of static-prone fibers, effectively attracting and holding airborne particles until they are released during washing. Additionally, the Air-Care™ filters feature an EPA registered anti-microbial material to inhibit mold and bacteria growth on the filter surface, enhancing the quality of the air you breathe, which may contain irritants like pollen, dust, bacteria, mold spores, pet dander, and smoke. Most of these particles are smaller than one micron, making the Air-Care™ electrostatic air filters an efficient solution for reducing such contaminants. The nominal depth of the filter is between 1/8" and 1".
