The Kohler® Command Pro® is a commercial, 4-cycle gasoline engine designed for professional-grade power and performance. It features a durable design with a cast iron cylinder liner and aluminum block, ensuring reliability under tough conditions. Included in the kit are a Quad-Clean™ All-Season Four-Stage Cyclonic Air Filter for effective engine protection, a large-capacity metal fuel tank to minimize downtime, and a built-in warm-air system for winter operation. The engine is powered by a OHV slant cylinder with increased displacement, a balance shaft (14 HP), and a steel-forged-and-hardened crankshaft. Additional specifications include electronic ignition, a large-capacity muffler with a heat shield and spark arrestor, dual ball bearings, and three fuel filters: fill neck, in-tank, and carburetor inlet. It is equipped with dual oil fills and drains, an automatic low oil engine shutdown system, a Stellite®-faced exhaust valve, and a carbon canister fuel cap. To enhance performance, the engine features a water trap to separate moisture from fuel, a swirl-induction combustion chamber, easy-access throttle, choke, and fuel shutoff, an automatic compression release, a mechanical governor, and a high-inertia flywheel. Additional attributes include a sound-deadened alloy crankcase, a carburetor bowl drain, a silenced air intake, and an indexable Easy-Pull™ recoil starter. The engine is CARB Tier 3 certified and includes a Fuel Secure™ auto fuel shutoff feature for added safety.
