Ruffneck™ Defender® XT-311 and XT-312 explosion-proof heavy-duty thermostats are designed specifically for controlling heating only, cooling only, or ventilation systems in demanding industrial applications such as oil refineries, petrochemical plants, pulp and paper mills, coal mines, grain elevators, and hazardous waste storage facilities. These thermostats feature UL-CUL certifications, an all-aluminum exterior with no breakable external plastic parts, no exposed copper or brass, and are corrosion-resistant, making them suitable for H2S environments. Their compact and lightweight design includes precision die-cast components that enhance consistency and quality. With a bimetal sensing element that ensures fast-acting and reliable performance unaffected by altitude, the thermostats contain no delicate coils or bellows, providing rugged reliability. They operate within a temperature range of 36°F to 82°F (2°C to 28°C), with a temperature differential of 2.5°F (1.5°C), and have a net weight of 2.1 lbs (0.95 kg). The switching mechanism is snap acting, with a conduit opening of 3/4" - 14 NPT. The electrical rating supports up to 22 amps RES, 480 VAC max; HP @ 125 VAC, 1 HP @ 250 VAC. This unit also comes with a three-year warranty, the longest trouble-free warranty in the industry, and is environmentally safe as it is CFC and mercury-free with no leveling required.
