The XTE-411 Defender® Thermostat Ruffneck™ Defender® XT-411 is designed for demanding applications such as drilling rigs, utilidors, and compression stations, built to withstand dirt, fluctuating power, and high-impact conditions. This robust thermostat is specifically engineered for heating only in industrial ventilation systems and is suitable for hazardous locations with explosive gases or dust. It features an all-aluminum exterior with no breakable plastic parts and no exposed copper or brass, making it corrosion resistant and suitable for H2S environments. The unit is CFC and mercury-free, requires no leveling, and consists of precision die-cast components. The sensing bulb is safeguarded by a sturdy thermowell, and the thermostat is impact resistant, maintaining its calibration set-point. The device has a 600 VAC maximum rating, is compact and lightweight, comes pre-wired for easy installation, and is compatible with all previous and current Defender® thermostat housings as well as Ruffneck™ FX4 and FX5 heaters. It is designed for use with Ruffneck™ explosion-proof FX forced air heaters and has a warranty of 12 months. The thermostat is UL-CUL safety certified and has a silver/black color. The specifications include a temperature range of 40°F to 90°F (5°C to 30°C), a temperature differential of 6.5°F (3.6°C), a net weight of 3.1 lbs (1.41 kg), a switching snap acting mechanism, and a conduit opening of 3.4" - 14 NPT. Its electrical rating allows for a maximum of 600 VAC (Canada) and 480 VAC (US), with ratings of 240 V / 30 A (Canada and US) and 480 V / 15 A (Canada).
