The 3M™ Accuglidel™ V HSP taping head is engineered for high-speed tape application, utilizing low-impact motion to seal cases with minimal force while applying Scotch® box sealing tape at speeds of up to 150 feet per minute, ensuring quality tape application. This lightweight and durable taping head is designed specifically for sealing under-filled boxes without compromising tape adhesion. It features a narrow profile for easy retrofitting to existing machines and low maintenance requirements for improved productivity. Constructed from stainless steel, it includes a low-profile side plate, an open tape path, and straightforward threading instructions for quick setup. The taping head is equipped with a tape drum latch that secures rolls for stable and aligned tape application, a friction brake drum to maintain proper tape tension, and prevent overcoasting, ensuring smooth operation. Designed to apply a "C" clip of Scotch® box sealing tape, it effectively seals the top center seam, enabling low-impact sealing and greater case throughput. The taping process involves regular slotted containers (RSC) being conveyed into the taping head by case sealer drive belts.
