The SC Preferred™ 5 shelf, standard duty boltless shelving starter with wood decking is designed to maximize storage space in retail, commercial, and industrial environments. The kit includes a starter unit with rugged 2" x 1" 14 gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers, double-riveted horizontal beams adjustable at 1" increments, and a sturdy, smooth precut 5/8" thick particleboard wood decking that ships in two pieces. The shelving supports a maximum storage weight of 1000 lbs. per level and features a chip-resistant gray baked enamel finish. Its open design allows four-side access and adjustable open shelves at 1" increments for flexibility. The durable roll-formed steel framing includes front-to-back supports to prevent beam rotation under load, and double rivet button stud construction locks perimeter beams into corner posts for structural stability, eliminating back and side sway. Assembly is easy with snap-in components requiring no bolts, nuts, or clips.
