The SC Preferred™ 5 shelf heavy duty boltless shelving starter with wood decking is designed to maximize storage areas with a max storage weight of 1400 lbs. per level, suitable for retail, commercial, and industrial applications. The kit includes sturdy 2" x 1" 14 gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers and double riveted horizontal beams that adjust vertically at 1" increments, allowing open adjustable shelves with four-side access for maximum flexibility. The open shelves are made from smooth, precut 5/8" thick particleboard decking, which ships in two pieces, providing a cost-effective solid surface. The shelving features durable roll-formed steel framing with front-to-back supports to prevent beam rotation when fully loaded, and double rivet button stud construction to lock perimeter beams into the corner posts, creating structurally secure joints that eliminate back and side sway. The finish is a chip-resistant gray baked enamel, and the assembly is easy with snap-in components requiring no bolts, nuts, or clips.
