The SC Preferred™ 5 shelf heavy duty boltless shelving starter with wood decking is designed to maximize storage areas in retail, commercial, and industrial settings, accommodating various heights, widths, and depths. Each level supports a maximum storage weight of 1400 lbs. The unit features sturdy roll-formed steel framing with 2" x 1", 14 gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers and double riveted horizontal beams that adjust vertically at 1" increments, providing structural security by locking perimeter beams into corner posts to eliminate back and side sway. The open shelves allow four-side access for maximum flexibility, with easy assembly requiring no bolts, nuts, or clips. Front-to-back supports prevent beam rotation under load, while the chip-resistant gray baked enamel finish offers durability. The sturdy, smooth precut 5/8" thick particleboard wood decking, shipped in two pieces, provides solid and cost-effective shelf surfaces.
