The SC Preferred™ 5 shelf heavy duty boltless shelving add-on with wood decking is designed to maximize storage areas in retail, commercial, and industrial settings, accommodating a maximum storage weight of 1400 lbs. per level. The kit includes rugged 14 gauge steel T posts punched on 1" centers and double riveted horizontal beams that adjust vertically at 1" increments. The open shelves are adjustable in 1" increments and feature a chip resistant gray baked enamel finish. The sturdy, smooth precut 5/8" thick particleboard decking ships in two pieces and provides a cost-effective solid surface. The shelving units have a roll-formed steel framing with front-to-back supports to prevent beam rotation under full load, and double rivet button stud construction locks perimeter beams into the corner posts, forming a structurally secure joint that eliminates back and side sway. The open design allows access from all four sides for maximum flexibility. Assembly is easy and requires no bolts, nuts, or clips, using snap-in components to allow expansion by joining units with more stability and less construction than bolting two starter units together.
