The SC Preferred™ 5 Shelf standard duty boltless shelving add-on with wood decking is designed to maximize storage area in retail, commercial, and industrial applications, supporting a maximum storage weight of 1000 lbs. per level. The unit features durable roll-formed steel framing and sturdy 14 gauge steel T posts punched on 1" centers, with double riveted horizontal beams that adjust vertically in 1" increments to accommodate various heights, widths, and depths. The open shelving design allows four-side access and easy assembly with snap-in components—no bolts, nuts, or clips required. Front-to-back supports prevent beam rotation when fully loaded, while double rivet button stud construction locks perimeter beams into corner posts, eliminating back and side sway for structural stability. The chip-resistant gray baked enamel finish enhances durability, and the sturdy, smooth precut 5/8" thick particleboard wood decking, which ships in two pieces, provides a cost-effective solid surface. Expansion is facilitated by joining units securely with more stability and less construction effort than bolting starter units together.
