The SC Preferred 3 Shelf heavy duty boltless shelving starter with wire decking is designed for durable and adaptable storage in retail, industrial, and commercial spaces, with a maximum storage weight of 1200 lbs. per level. The open shelves are adjustable at 1" increments, and the kit includes rugged 2" x 1", 14 gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers, along with double riveted horizontal beams that lock into the corner posts using double rivet button stud construction, forming a structurally secure joint that eliminates back and side sway. The shelving features a chip resistant gray baked enamel finish and sturdy roll-formed steel framing with front-to-back supports to prevent beam rotation when fully loaded. The wire decking, which ships in two pieces, allows ventilation, visibility, and light penetration, facilitating sprinkler water passage throughout the racks to improve fire safety. The starter unit offers easy assembly with snap-in components requiring no bolts, nuts, or clips.
