The SC Preferred 5 shelf heavy duty boltless shelving starter with wire decking is designed to maximize storage with a maximum storage weight of 1200 lbs. per level. The kit includes rugged 2" x 1" 14 GA steel uprights punched on 1" centers, double riveted horizontal beams that lock securely into corner posts using double rivet button stud construction, and wire mesh decking that ships in two pieces. The design allows four-side access for maximum flexibility and ventilation, visibility, and light penetration through the wire decking, facilitating sprinkler water flow for enhanced fire safety. Assembly is easy, requiring no bolts, nuts, or clips, with snap-in components and sturdy roll-formed steel framing providing maximum support and preventing beam rotation when fully loaded. The shelving has a chip-resistant gray baked enamel finish, front-to-back supports to prevent beam rotation, and complies with structural security standards to eliminate back and side sway.
