The SC Preferred 5 Shelf heavy-duty boltless shelving starter kit with wire decking is designed for retail, industrial, and commercial spaces, providing durable and adaptable open shelving with a maximum storage weight of 1500 lbs. per level. The open shelves are adjustable at 1" increments, and the system accommodates various heights, widths, and depths to fit nearly any facility area. The snap-in components allow easy assembly without the need for bolts, nuts, or clips. The shelving features sturdy roll-formed steel framing with front-to-back supports that prevent beam rotation when fully loaded, while double rivet button stud construction locks perimeter beams into the 2" x 1" 14 gauge steel uprights punched on 1" centers, forming a structurally secure joint that eliminates back and side sway. The chip-resistant gray baked enamel finish provides durability, and the wire decking enhances ventilation, visibility, and light penetration, allowing sprinkler water to pass through easily for improved fire safety.
