The SC Preferred™ 5 shelf heavy duty boltless shelving add-on with wire shelving is designed to maximize storage capacity with a maximum storage weight of 1400 lbs. per level. It features durable and adaptable storage suited for retail, industrial, and commercial spaces, with adjustable open shelves in 1" increments. The kit includes rugged 14 gauge steel T posts punched on 1" centers and double riveted horizontal beams that lock into corner posts using double rivet button stud construction, forming a secure joint to eliminate back and side sway. The open design allows four-sided access, providing maximum flexibility, while wire decking promotes ventilation, visibility, light penetration, and sprinkler water flow for enhanced fire safety. The entire unit is finished with a chip-resistant gray baked enamel finish and is easy to assemble with snap-in components, requiring no bolts, nuts, or clips. Front-to-back supports prevent beam rotation under full load, enhancing structural integrity. Wire mesh ships in two pieces. The shelf dimensions and configuration options accommodate various heights, widths, and depths for nearly every facility area. The shelving system complies with relevant safety standards, and the design facilitates expansion by joining units with less construction effort compared to bolting starter units together.
