The SC Preferred 5 shelf, standard duty boltless shelving starter with wire decking is designed to maximize storage with a maximum storage weight of 1000 lbs. per level, suitable for retail, industrial, and commercial spaces. The kit includes rugged 2" x 1", 14 GA steel uprights punched on 1" centers, double riveted horizontal beams adjustable vertically at 1" increments, and wire mesh decking that ships in two pieces. The open shelves are adjustable in 1" increments, allowing flexible organization and four-side access. The open design, along with wire decking, provides ventilation, visibility, light penetration, and allows sprinkler water to pass through racks easily, improving fire safety. The shelving features sturdy roll-formed steel framing and front-to-back supports that prevent beam rotation under full load, with double rivet button stud construction locking perimeter beams into corner posts to eliminate back and side sway. The finishes include a chip resistant gray baked enamel. Assembly is simple with snap-in components requiring no bolts, nuts, or clips.
